About Pastor Jacki
Rev. Jacqueline Sharer Robertson, known as
Pastor Jacki, has been serving the
Mount Horeb UMC congregation since 1999.
She shares the parsonage with her husband Byron, also a trained United Methodist pastor, whose ministry has led him into the field of cross-cultural urban education.
They keep busy with their three children:
Alaina, a vocal-music major at Columbia College in Chicago; Jasmyne, who is studying art at the Art Institute of Chicago; and Caleb, a fifth
grader in the
Mt. Horeb School District.
Pastor Jacki’s undergraduate degree was in Music Theatre (
Illinois Wesleyan University), and her love for the arts finds expression in her ministry.
You can sample her dramatic sermons in her book
Women in the Wings: 20 Biblical Monologues, available at the publisher’s website
CSSPpub.com, the United Methodist denominational online bookstore
Cokesbury.com or
Amazon.com.
It may also be purchased locally through the Prairie Bookshop in
Mt. Horeb.
Pastor Jacki struggles with -- yet immensely enjoys! -- the challenges of being a mom, wife, and full time pastor.
Other little pleasures are reading fiction, song writing, and the occasional Starbucks Frappuccino.
Check out her encouraging mid-week
Until Sunday blog posts. She would love to hear from you at
