Building Wholeness with the Hands of Christ in Mount Horeb and Madison

Stewardship

Mission Statement
To illuminate to everyone the bountiful blessings that they have been given from the Lord and to aid in their understanding that this bounty is to be shared with all of God’s creatures.

Role In the Life of the Church
Help members focus on how their gifts can be shared, including financial. Educate members on the Gospel derived lessons for giving. To help our congregation grow beyond believing that stewardship is simply about financial gifts. Continue to find and develop new ways that people can give their gifts to the church and the Lord’s work.

Objectives
- To educate every member about the role of stewardship in their personal spiritual life.
- To encourage members to be joyful, grateful givers.
- To continue to increase the number of members who accept the maturity and discipline of regular, scheduled giving to the church.
- To be a voice in church council that advocates joyous, grateful giving from the church to the greater needs of our community as a corporate entity.

Structure
The Stewardship Committee consists of the Chairperson, who shall work with a committee of congregation members identified and invited by the
Lay Leadership committee. The committee shall call upon members at large to participate during the Stewardship campaign and any other times of special needs. The Stewardship chair is a member of the Finance committee and sits on the Church Council.

Current Needs
Personal witnesses of the bounty they have received from the Lord. Assistance in developing stewardship campaigns to increase the percentage of members pledging to support the missions and ministry of the church.
